Labor divisions in the countryside and urban centers led to the rise of an upper class and the development of complex cities. With that comes politics, accounting and a new way of governing. Wars for power and wealth intensify and elevate new empires. A set of transformative philosophical and religious ideas, mainly independently, appears in different parts of the world. For the first time, a city dweller is called a "citizen", making him part of political life. The bond between a person and the city-state gives him the right to Citizenship. It started as a reaction to the fear of slavery, allowing citizens to work, progress and build their own wealth. As a result, outsiders ended up becoming slaves.
