At the beginning of the second millennium, the city gained several forms of architecture and became increasingly cosmopolitan. The predominance of residences in various styles, small apartment buildings and houses with ceramic roofs. Trade is spreading and ports are becoming the most important areas of the city. Government buildings such as the senate, forum, tribune, assembly and consulate are fundamental parts of the city.
